About Our Congregation
The Abingdon Episcopal congregation is a diverse group of individuals united as one strong and caring church through the knowledge and love of Jesus.  We are a Eucharistic people, worshipping and celebrating together as a family.  Our ministries are strong and dynamic, each contributing in its own way to promoting a message of fellowship, support and love to our members and the community of the world we live in.  Our colonial church is one of the most beautiful in the country and contributes immensely to our joy in worship.  It promotes a strong sense of history and common prayer that has existed for centuries.   We strive to reach out to our community and one another in crisis and need, taking the mission of our parish to heart.:  To know Christ and his love and to affirm his ministry by reaching out with love to the needs of our parish family and our community.
