Middle and High School Outreach Programs to regional Native American Tribes and other local organizations

Annually, the Abingdon Middle School joins St. John’s West Point for a fund-raising, fun-raising project to support comunity organizations. At St. Johns in 2013, they blended a day of baking with an overnight stay for a bake sale benefiting the Mattaponi Indians. Their second  Great Pie Caper in 2014 brought the group to Abingdon for a Saturday of pie baking and ice cream making followed by a lock-in.  Their efforts raised $1,000 for the Gloucester Mathews Care Clinic.

In 2013, High School Students helped to renovate St. Marks, a former Episcopal Church in Beasley, VA, as a community center for the Rappahannock tribe
